With a career spanning over four decades in security and hospitality, Richard Groder brings unparalleled expertise and integrity to every assignment. After beginning his professional journey as a security guard at various Waikiki hotels in 1978, Richard advanced through leadership roles—managing nightclubs, restaurants and exclusive venues—before founding C & C Security in 2005.
Over the past twenty-plus years, Richard has become a trusted partner to Hawaii’s film and television community. He’s overseen security for major productions—including CBS’s Hawaii 5-0, Magnum P.I. and NCIS Hawaii, and feature films such as, Jurassic World, Avatar and The Hunger Games; CatchingFire, along with Netflix, Universal, Disney, Warner Bros and others —provides unwavering focus on preventative presence and flawless coordination across departments.
Raised on Oahu, Richard played football at Iolani high school and University of Hawaii Manoa-he prides himself on hands-on, family-oriented service that keeps clients—and community—at the heart of every operation. Guided by values of honesty, accountability, and confidentiality, he leads his team in delivering the “extra touch” that transforms security from a necessity into a reassuring partnership.
Itai Sataua
Director of Operations & Leadership Development
Born in Samoa and raised in San Diego, Itai’s journey has been defined by discipline, dedication, and a deep commitment to community. A standout athlete in high school, he earned a football scholarship to the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, where he honed his leadership on and off the field. Over the past 40 years, Itai has parlayed that experience into upper management roles—always grounded in his island values of Ohana, integrity, and service.
At C & C Security, Itai oversees operations and training, bringing expertise in hospitality security, entertainment-set protocols, and personal protection for high-profile clients. His hands-on approach ensures that every detail—from event logistics to discreet celebrity safeguards—is managed with precision and care. He maintains our “presence-first” ethos to prevent issues before they arise.
